The new Music Together sessions have started. Jana is teaching three classes on Tuesdays for the families of students, faculty, and staff at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Each class can have 6-12 students not counting parents or infant siblings. Jana has 7 in her first morning class, 10 in the second and 12 in the afternoon session. Those numbers are working out pretty well. She has more than enough participants for her three classes to make it a nice atmosphere for engaging the families. It also looks like she’ll be able to cover all of the costs associated with teaching these classes (that means costs like insurance but not, for example, instruments, since those are longer term investments). Needless to say, we’re really happy about that.
During this school year Jana will teach three ten week sessions. The first runs from September to December, the second from January to March, and the third from April to June.
If you haven’t watched the video from a couple posts ago, check it out here. The video is not about Music Together itself but one of the founders is engaged in a discussion about raising emotionally healthy children and family relationships. That’s an important part of what Music Together is about so the video offers some insight into the MT philosophy.
