Standardized testing results are in for the 2015-16 academic year. This is just the third year Narnia eighth graders take the “Komparo” tests but it looks like the results are coming in pretty consistently excellent.
Standardized testing in Slovakia is given to fifth and eighth graders in Math, Slovak, Biology, Geography, and there is also an overall general academic test. Elisabeth’s class took the 8th grade Komparo test this year and her class finished with fantastic results as you can see in the table below.
Subject Tested | Percentile | Rank |
---|---|---|
General Academic Aptitude | 99.3 | 2 |
Math | 98.5 | 1 |
Slovak | 98.0 | 2 |
Biology | 97.6 | 2 |
Geography | 88.3 | 7 |
These results are important for a couple of reasons. First, in Slovakia students have to apply and be accepted to a high school (even public schools). High Schools take these test results into consideration when selecting students. Second, in order for the ministry of Narnia Elementary School to continue, it needs to attract students and it will do that only if they have this kind of visible results.
So this is good news and we hope you’ll keep praying for Narnia’s outreach to the community.
