Every year kids from Narnia who are in sixth grade or older have the chance to attend baptism preparation classes in the spring. This year six new Narnia kids (including our Elisabeth) publicly professed their faith in Christ.

Baptism Preparation
I’ve written about baptism preparation retreats before. This year we had over 10 kids that attended the weekend retreats and six ended up either being baptized or confirming their baptism. It’s great to see these kids take this big step and it’s especially great that three of the kids come from unchurched backgrounds.
For us, this year was an especially meaningful celebration because Elisabeth was among those that were baptized.

Reaching Whole Families
This year the final numbers don’t tell the whole story. In Natalka’s case, for example, her family has been attending our fellowship for years. Almost right after her parents put Natalka into Narnia in first grade her parents have been attending our congregation and now they are a part of Jana’s and my small group.

Katka has a similar story. In her testimony she talked about her mom’s faith. Her mom has also become a believer since Katka started at Narnia and she also attends a small group in our congregation where she is growing in her faith.

Every year as we baptize these kids we can see fruit from Narnia not just in the kids themselves, but in their families as well.
