Village Church of Lincolnshire begins their annual Christmas program, “The Hanging of the Greens,” with musical offerings from the children in the congregation. This year Elisabeth and Max performed a duet of “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
Jana’s been teaching them piano and she gave them more of a challenge than she bargained for. After committing to the duet she talked with some piano teachers who recommended kids perform their first duet at age 10. If you’re playing a duet and you mess up you can’t just pick up where you left off and finish the song, you have to jump back in with your partner.
We couldn’t be more proud of the two of them. They worked really hard, they were patient with their mom and dad who weren’t always patient with them, and when performance time came they did a great job. It’s not perfect but they played together and showed a lot of poise by playing through their mistakes. Way to go!

WOW! I’m such a proud aunt. That was superb. I was hoping to get to hear you play and here it was on my computer this morning. You guys did a fantastic job together and it sounded beautiful. I can’t wait to hear you play in person. Maybe at our house on New Year’s Eve. Braxton got a keyboard from Santa. See you soon. Love you, love you, love you!!!!!

Thanks you so very much for sending me the video of Elisabeth and Max playing their duet. You’re right that a duet is ever so much more difficult to do than playing alone. I think they did a spectacular job!!
Way to go Elisabeth and Max!! I’m sure Jesus is very pleased!! Your friend, Mrs. Price
