Another big, big milestone today. This afternoon I had my proposal hearing with my committee (Drs. Averbeck, Younger and VanGemeren). They accepted my proposal as is, which means I now qualify for PhD candidacy and am “all but dissertation,” or ABD–as they say. As I mentioned in my last post I was scheduled to have my proposal hearing on May 14th. However, my first reader was suddenly asked to take another professor’s place leading a TEDS class to Israel. So my proposal hearing has been rescheduled to May 6. Step three in the PhD program is coming up fast! |   |
