Counting Christians* to Reach the Lost*

Nitra Cathedral stats

Catholic, Lutheran, Evangelical, …. What we want to know is…how many believers are there in Slovakia? Or, better yet, to what degree is Slovakia a reached country?

Evangelicalism on Slovakia's Cultural Radar

Nitra Cathedral stats

In the first post of this series I noted that according to the 2001 census in Slovakia, just 0.2% of the people in Slovakia claim to be a part of an evangelical denomination. That’s a really small number when you compare it to the 25-30% that claim to be evangelical in the United States. But when

Slovak Religion

Nitra Cathedral stats

This is the first in a series of posts on religion in Slovakia. I’ll be looking at it from the perspective of statistics and what those statistics mean for everyday ministry on the ground.

Music Together at Trinity 2010 (video)

This has had implications for the seminary in Banská Bystrica (KETM).

Right Place at the Right Time: Visiting with the Nitra Delegation in Naperville

As I was looking for Slovakia news to post through our twitter account (see our events page) I ran into an article in the Naperville Sun about a delegation from Nitra, Slovakia that recently visited Naperville, IL.  Nitra and Naperville are sister cities and this year a delegation from Slovakia visited Nitra to share ideas and resources in areas such as religion, higher education, and public safety.
